This was by far one of the most challenging designs we have ever undertaken. David wanted a rugged, no holds barred, AllRoad build. He supplied all of the detailed requirements, everything down to the last mm. It was an extraordinary experience in that David left absolutely nothing to chance. The frame was built using Velospec USA manufactured tubing.

Custom chain stays to allow 2.6” tires and heel clearance for his size 14 shoes, plus space for fenders and a 200mm rotor. Rack mounts, frame bag mounts, extra bottle cage mounts. We also installed full casing push through internal cable routing. We CNC machined custom Sram UDH dropouts, chain stay yokes and rear fender mounts.

He also requested a truss fork, something we had never built before. Always up for the challenge we undertook the project and developed a beautiful curvy truss fork, a work of beauty. I called the fork the shongololo, an african name a South African millipede. The fork has fender mounts and is littered with rack mounting points, allowing David many options of rack combination mounting. Also included are extra water bottle mounts.

We finished the frame and fork in a custom Porsche purple and painted the graphics in an ivory white. Multiple clear coats with a final sand and hand polish will keep the finish durable and looking beautiful.
